Log workouts and weight via Twitter! Ugomo can also automatically post your workouts to your Twitter account!

Log workouts or weight via Twitter

How?

Simply send a twitter message, for example:

#run 45 min 10 km Nice morning run @ugomo

or

#weight 160 lbs Hit my goal weight! @ugomo

and we will parse your workout or weight and log it.

It's as simple as that. You don't even need to register!

You get charts, calendar, summaries, reports etc etc. If you later want to edit or delete your workouts, set goals or add routes you can sign in using your twitter login.

Why?

This is a great way of logging workouts without having to log in to Ugomo, and Twitter has great mobile support and plenty of 3rd party applications.

Details...

If you don't have a Ugomo account we will create one for you when you log your first workout through Twitter. If you have an existing Ugomo account (sign up here), you need to map it to your Twitter account (you can do that here after logging in).

After your workout is created on Ugomo, we will send an @reply to you with the url for the workout. Note that it may take a few minutes after you send your twitter message until your workout is created.

Workout logging message format

The format for logging workouts is:

SPORT DATE TIME DISTANCE HEARTRATE NOTE @ugomo

where:

SPORT (required) is one of #run #bike #swim #walk #elliptical #aerobics #row #xcski #yoga #other
Other formats that work are #ran #running #biked #biking etc

DATE (optional) is either on the format yyyy-mm-dd (example: 2009-01-30) or mm/dd/yyyy (example: 01/30/2009). If no date is given, current date will be used.

TIME (optional) is either on the shorthand format hh:mm:ss (example: 00:30:00) or spelled out like 1 hour or 30 min or 2 hours 5 min 20 sec

DISTANCE (optional) is on the format distance+unit
Valid units are: km, kilometers, mi, miles, m, meters, yds, yards (example: 5.0km or 5200yds)

HEARTRATE (optional) is on the format heartrate+bpm
(example: 165bpm)

NOTE (optional) can be anything... (example: Short run around the block)

Note that all inputs are case insensitive (#Run == #run == #RUN), and number of spaces is not important (10km == 10 km)

Also note that the order of the different parts (time, distance etc) is not important, except that the tweet needs to start with a valid sport tag and contain a reference to @ugomo.

Some examples

#Run 2009-01-30 00:45:00 10km 160bpm Tempo run @ugomo Ok

#Bike 2 hours 35miles @ugomo Ok

#Swim 01/30/2009 1hr 15min 4000m Morning swim @ugomo Ok

NOTE (optional) can be anything... (example: Finally hit my goal weight!)

Note that all inputs are case insensitive (#Weight == #weight == #WEIGHT), and number of spaces is not important (75kg == 75 kg)

Also note that the order of the different parts (weight, note etc) is not important, except that the tweet needs to start with a #weight and contain a reference to @ugomo.
